National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, is recognized each year on September 30.

SERDC has put together a Manitoba Events Guide to help communities, families, and individuals take part in local activities and gatherings. Whether through ceremony, public events, or personal reflection we encourage everyone to use this day to listen, learn, and create space for reconciliation.

September 30 is a day to honour Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. In Manitoba, it is a statutory day of remembrance and learning. We wear orange to remember the children who were taken; that every child matters. We call on everyone to reflect on the truths of our shared history and commit to meaningful actions toward reconciliation.
